Every Donation Counts
On 11 March 2020 the WHO declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic, and as at the 10th April 2020 there were more than 1,675,767 confirmed cases and 101,526 deaths reported in 210 countries/regions worldwide. Amidst this crisis schools have been closed and students must now learn from home. UNESCO reported as at March 04 over 300 million students were sent home. The repercussions of being kept away from learning for an extended period of time is very real and most undesirable. Apart from the obvious interruption in learning curriculum there are adverse consequences where children and youth being deprived of opportunities for growth and development. Governments across the Caribbean and the USA have taken steps towards enabling online learning with portals through which students may access educational material. We must now ask ourselves the next question – Does every student have access to a tablet or computer?
All children should have an equal opportunity to learn in and outside of the classroom. More so, with the learning institutions having limited access to resources at this time, there is a call for action for greater assistance to get the required educational tools into the hands of those in need.
In a time when our children need us the most, EVERY DONATION COUNTS.

Your donation will go towards sponsoring a child in Need
